In this video, the project tells the story how, in mediaeval times and up to the 16th century, inhabitants of Swaledale in North Yorkshire used to carry their dead to a place of burial in Grinton over an established track called the 'Corpse Way'. Track still exists today, and the project re-enacts the task of carrying a corpse from the Dales to Grinton.
