Lace Market Heritage Trail For Vision Impaired People
Location: City of Nottingham

This project has helped to make the heritage of a historical area of Nottingham accessible to a particularly excluded and disadvantaged audience - the vision impaired. This was done by creating an interpretative sculpture trail with an accompanying sound guide.

A wide range of individuals were involved together with local organisations.

The tour centres around eight buildings in the Lace Market area; describing the range of built environment from a 14th century church, an 18th century social and industrial heritage, right through to the present day.
