Aston On Trent: History for the Future
Location: Derbyshire

As part of this project, the group researched, coordinated and maintained a diverse history of the village of Aston on Trent. This was undertaken by written, audio and visual records developed by the community.

New technologies were used to bring history alive in Ashton. A number of outputs were created including;

  • the production of a definitive book with chapters relating to various aspects of history,
  • a computer screensaver depicting historic Aston,
  • an updated website,
  • a living book of reminiscences
  • a video/DVD of Aston at work and play – past and present.
