Bamford Touchstones Sculpture Trail
Location: Derbyshire

A high degree of community involvement resulted in a 5 mile heritage sculpture trail around the village of Bamford in the Peak District National Park. The industrial, built heritage and historic events of the area are represented through interpretative touchstone sculptures and information boards.

In addition, a charity has been established by the community to maintain the trail and materials produced.

The heritage trail is complete with 4 touchstones and the centre piece permanently fixed on the site. The trail is fully sign posted and stainless steel information plaques are fixed at each site. Leaflets have also been produced even though these were not funded by LHI.
