Phase One

Eyam Map CD-ROM
Location: Derbyshire

This second stage of the Eyam Map project produced an interactive interpretation of the map which was created in phase one. This interactive map included additional information gathered from the earlier stages.

It makes use of a wide variety of photographs taken over the past three years, old postcards, film, archive material, video and recorded interviews. Subjects covered include, the history and development of transport, medical service, industry, education, the Church, youth hostel, local flora and fauna and the plague story.

This provides an additional tool for interpreting and understanding the village, its history and heritage, for use by residents, visitors and by schools and other educational establishments.
