Hayfield Heritage Trail
Location: Derbyshire
The project aims to carry out archaeological exploration of Wood Mill sluice with a view to revealing as much of the structure as possible and making good the upstream end using volunteers under the guidance of professionals. A waymarked circular pedestrian route will be created into the village from the car park. Volunteers will collect and collate material for three interpretation boards with points of industrial, social and environmental interest interpreted along the route. There will be an alternative disabled access waymarked to Wood Mill Sluice. A Heritage Trail leaflet will also be produced.
