John Flamsteed Historical Research
Location: Derbyshire
The local community researched the life and studies of John Flamsteed (1646-1719), the nation's first Astronomer Royal, who was born and raised in Denby, raising awareness within the community of his significant achievements.
Leaflets and interpretation boards were produced and workshops, activity days and a celebratory event were held for the benefit of the wider public.
