Making History
Location: Derbyshire
Manchester residents were rehoused on the Gamesley estate in the early 1960s. This community-led project collected memories and reminiscences which were used in the production of a book and interpretive art.
This project encouraged both young and old alike to develop a real community spirit. The group not only recorded the past through the book but also, with the help of the permanent art pieces, provide history for the future.
