Phase Two

Pathways To Pilsbury
Location: Derbyshire

The project drew together a number of local groups to investigate, interpret and work for the longer term care of a Norman motte and bailey castle in Derbyshire.

The first phase involved comprehensive research of the site itself and its relationship to the landscape and environment around it. Activities included a documentary, geophysical survey, archaeological research and oral history recording.

Phase two involved interpretation of the material collected, and included a website, school resource pack and information leaflets.
