Project update April 2006
Location: Derbyshire
Work on the local history book, Quarndon: Then & Now, was delayed by nearly five months because of health problems of the project co-orindator. However, following a major operation in December, all is pretty well back to normal now.
A meeting of the 12-strong Team was held in the last week of March, and work is now firmly in progress. We now have 26 chapters of the book in draft.
One innovation has been the compilation, by a Team member, of a Family Walk, based on facts and anecdotes about the village - gleaned from the manuscript so far.
In May, the Team will pay its second all-day visit to the Kedleston Hall Monument Room to continue our researches.
