This project involved the investigation and interpretation of a site in south Derbyshire which has interesting archaeological and historical associations, such as a bronze age settlement, a monastic settlement and a 12th century chapel.
The wider community was involved in all aspects of the project, including surveying, conservation and restoration work, and interpretation.
The original application included restoration work to the walls of the bothy, which was to house the interpretation boards and a further grant was approved to roof this building, in order to better protect the boards and provide shelter for groups visiting the site.
In addition, a protective screen was placed around a mediaeval stone carving of a sacred cow connected to the early worship of St Bridget or St Bride which is built into an external wall of St Bride's farmhouse.
