The Stairway Project
Location: Derbyshire

As part of this project, the ancient wooden stairway to the bell tower was removed, restored, and put on public display as an example of this rare type of stairway. Preservation techniques were investigated and the history of the church bells and the wooden bell frame was researched.

The ancient wooden bell stocks were also restored, preserved and displayed.
