March 22nd saw the village hall in Hallaton packed with locals interested in joining the HFWG. Well we though there were just locals but in fact after advertising the meeting in the local paper people had come quite considerable distances to find out more about the group and what we wanted to do.

Chris and Ken gave an informative slide show about the stuff we'd already been able to do, after a generous and open introduction by Carol - who heads up our Committee.

After the slide show the floor was opened for questions and comments - which were both varied and interesting.

By the end of the evening our group had burgeoned to about 40 members.

With our equipment arriving shortly after Easter everyone left the meeting looking forward to a warm, dry summer scanning the hidden secrets of our fields.
