Learning about Kegworths Heritage
Location: Leicestershire

The project will raise awareness of Kegworth's heritage through a range of activities. A greetings card exhibition will invite contributions and stories and a portable display "What Kegworth means to me" will tour local venues encouraging local people to contribute photographs and stories. The museum holds a large collection of local photographs and documents and volunteers will be recruited to organise these so they can be scanned, copies laminated and placed in education/information packs. The archival material will be scanned to produce a computer archive at the museum for future reference. The museum needs to better promote itself, and its activities and it is plans to produce a leaflet with a map and museum signs advertising current exhibitions and events.
