The History and Conservation of Daniel Hayes
Location: Leicestershire

Daniel Hayes is an important abandoned settlement located between a Viking settlement and a Saxon village. The group is looking to survey the site, investigate an 18th century pond, restore a water pump, carry out conservation work & field walking, install interpretation, produce leaflets and hold events. The local technical college, University and an inner city school will help to carry out some of the conservation work, as well as training the students on wildlife conservation and forestry.
