The "Open Space," Chapel Lane, Navenby
Location: Lincolnshire

The local community in Navenby has been given control of an area of open space (owned by the local authority) which has been protected from development because of significant archaeological remains discovered there.

Several archaeological investigations have taken place in and around the area but the results are buried in developer-funded reports using technical language. The Navenby Archaeological Group has been formed to raise public awareness of these remains.

The aim is to encourage involvement in local heritage and particularly in the archaeological assets of the site by developing a series of interpretation boards to bring its history to life.
