East Drayton Lychgate Project
Location: Nottinghamshire
The Lychgate of a Grade 1 listed church at East Drayton will be restored using material salvaged from the original structure. Local volunteers will help with the work & will carry out research to produce a booklet about the lychgate. This will include photographs of neighbouring church lychgates and a “lychgate trail” map. Local senior citizens will record their memories of the lychgate and a “Lychgate Day” celebration will be held on completion of the project, hopefully to be kept annually.
