Bedfordshire geology and landscape project
Location: Bedfordshire
This project involves a number of community groups investigating and raising awareness of the geology of their local area and feeding their findings into an audit of the country's geological resource.
Community groups including schools, youth groups, scouts, guides and WI's will work under the guidance of expert volunteers from Beds and Luton Geology Group and professional experts. Practical work will entail mechanical and hand excavations and geological testing.
Information gathered by each group will lead to the production of a range of interpretative materials including site leaflets, interpretation boards and display materials.
