Gannock Medieval Fayre
Location: Bedfordshire

The project was officially opened on Sunday 19th June 2006. A medieval fayre was organised for everyone. It was opened by the local Member of Parliament and a strong supporter of the project Mr Alistair Burt MP.

The opening publicised the castle in the village and surrounding area. Organising the event involved a lot of very hard work behind the scenes by many villagers who freely gave their time. The result was a tremendous success.

The fayre featured a medieval re-enactment group who demonstrated what life was like back then. They covered everyday living through to archery and demonstrations of medieval combat.

There was entertainment throughout the day with everything from wandering minstrels, morris dancers, belly dancers, Punch & Judy and numerous craft demonstrations and stalls.
