2XL Archaeology Project
Location: Cambridgeshire

An archaeological and natural history survey of a small plot of land on the outskirts of Cambridge, known locally as "Giant's Grave" or "The Spring". The work will be carried out by student members of 2XL, which is a support group for able students and their parents at St Bede's Comprehensive School, Cherry Hinton.

The group will undertake appropriate training with a local professional archaeology unit and will also design a leaflet and an interpretation board for the site. At the end of the project, the students will produce a report and will give talks, produce posters and create further displays to explain the site to the local community.

In a future phase of the project, they will give tours of the site to local primary school children.
