The Story of RAF Peterborough
Location: Cambridgeshire

RAF Peterborough was a WW2 training base for allied and Commonwealth aircrew. This project will research and interpret this heritage, and in particular the part played by multi-national groups, for the multi-cultural, present-day residents of the city who now live on the former airfield site.

Local people who remember the airfield will be encouraged to come forward and tell their stories, and former airmen who served there will be contacted and interviewed. A video / DVD will be produced. Documentary and archive material will be gathered by the Civic society.
