Saffron Walden Heritage Trail
Location: Essex

Saffron Walden is one of the few surviving examples of a market town whose past can be traced in its buildings, from approximately 1150 to 1900.

This project will inform residents and visitors of the historic importance and heritage significance of buildings within the town through trail leaflets and a photographic guide. Marker Posts will be sited with the needs of the less-able considered.

Maps of the trail will be provided in the three main car parks. Residents and local school children will try out the trail and their input will be incorporated in the final version.
