A Celebration of William J Fitch, Master of the Hitchin Boys British School
Location: Hertfordshire

This project will research the life of W J Fitch, master of the Boys British School in Hitchin from 1858 to 1902, also the history of related aspects of education locally and nationally, and that of Hitchin itself during this period. The buildings of the Hitchin British School are now a museum.

Volunteers from the British Schools Trust and the Hitchin Historical Society will together create permanent displays for the museum, two touring exhibitions, a book and a CD accompanied by resource packs.
