We spent many hours discussing first of all how we would scan and in what format we would save our images. We then needed to enter information about these on to a catalogue.

We finally decided to adopt an "accession" system - i.e. each item would be entered in numerical order is it was received and scanned. The catalogue would also show the type of image (photograph, document, booklet etc.), where the original was stored, and description of the photograph or document.
