The Dell Regeneration
Location: Norfolk

The project is centred on the 'Western & Southern Avenue Woodland' known locally as the Dell which has established itself within what is thought to be an old Marl pit in Thorpe St Andrew.

The project will raise awareness of the significance of the historical and natural heritage by providing an interpretation board and leaflet. Due to neglect of the woodland in the past, paths have become overgrown and invasive sycamores threaten to prevent the growth of native species.

The project will clear out some of the invasive species, opening up the woodland for ground cover, and widening the variety of trees to increase the diversity of wildlife. Volunteers will undertake conservation work. Access to the woodland is encouraged as part of guided walks.
