LHI project wins Market Town Awards

Wayland Church Tours project has picked up the overall prize for the East of England Market Town Awards, as well as winning the Heritage category.
They've been praised for the work they have done on their guide books, audio tours CD's and live guided tours.
BBC Radio Norfolk have been very generous in lending the group one of their producer's, Tony Mallion and sound engineer, Stewart Orr, who helped the group with their audio tour CD's.
Future tours are planned for Saturday 10th July, 14th August, 11th September and 9th October 2004. The tours cost £16 each including a pub lunch, transport and a donation to the churches involved. The guidebook is sold at £7 plus £1.50 p&p.
Wayland LHI project also won the award for the 'Best Market Town Project' in the East of England, and it is now going forward to the National Market Towns, winner to be announced on 24th Sept 2004.
