Restoration of Medieval Wall
Location: Suffolk

This project involves the restoration of the medieval wall around the church of St Mary the Virgin. The wall contains masonry from the collapsed medieval tower of the church and is of considerable architectural interest.

In addition to the restoration work a pamphlet is being produced and distributed that explains the history of the church and its environs.

A storyteller is being employed to research, create and perform a short story about the church and the wall as part of performances to local schoolchildren and adults.

Furthermore, the project is also undertaking a community survey of the flora and fauna of the churchyard. Information boards are being erected to explain the aims of both the wall restoration and wildlife survey projects.
