Steadfast in the Past and Sure of the Future
Location: Wandsworth

1908 heralds 100 years of the Boy's Brigade in Tooting and Wandsworth. The 70th London company is the last remaining of 40 companies originally founded. The 70th London Company Boys Brigade, with the support of the local history society and local museum will record reminiscences of past and current members documenting the effect joining the organisation on their lives.

The boys will host workshops in oral history data capture, video making and web site development. The group will investigate roll books, minutes, film and visit the local records office. Research on the role the Boys Brigade played during the war and how from, predominantly white beginnings the company's expanded to reflect the diverse local community.

An exhibition will be shown in 3 locations and will be supported by a historybooks recording the memories of the company with photographs. The company will provide outreach sessions to the wider community, which will be supported by DVDs made freely available to the local community.
