Photographic Memories - Consett and District
Location: Durham
The project aims to preserve photographs that detail the social and sporting history of the local area, which will then be displayed through schools, community centres, church halls and a purpose built exhibition area.
Members of the local community will be invited to contribute photos, which will be copied and returned to the original owners. The group intends to set up a website containing all the collected material, and members will be trained in IT skills to enable them to process, format and load the photos onto the website.
