Hidden Wrekenton
Location: Gateshead
As their contribution to Local History month, members of the Wrekenton Community Heritage Project will be hosting an event at Wrekenton Library under the topic "Hidden Wrekenton". Residents will have the opportunity to learn about the famous people and events which have created the areas heritage.
The event will take place on the afternoon of 22nd May at 2.00pm and is free of charge. Booking is not essential although it would be helpful if intending participants could notify the library in order that appropriate accommodation can be organised.
For further details contact the group at the Old School Community Centre or library staff. The Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Old School Centre at 2.00pm. Members of the public are invited to attend. The next meet is planned for 11th april 2006.
