African Art Day
Venue: St. Joseph’s Church Hall, Blaydon

This event will be held in St Joseph’s Community Centre, 10am – 4pm for children of all ages. Drums, masks, dancing, hair plaiting, African food.
All activities are drop-in and free of charge. However, tickets costing £1 are required for food.

Opening of Blaydon Races interpretation board in The Precinct at 11am, with the River City Jazzmen.

Fun Run
Venue: Blaydon Rugby Club

Held at Blaydon Rugby Club, organised by Sporique and Blaydon Rugby Club. Tee shirt and refreshments included.£8 entry, (£1 per entrant going to the Yellow Brick Road appeal). Walkers start at 10:30am, runner’s at 11am.

There will be two football competitions
1) 7-a-side, on Blaydon Comprehensive School site, organised by Blaydon Football Club, for boys and girls aged 8-10 years old. 10am-4pm.

Open day at Path Head Mill
Venue: Path Head Water Mill

Open day at Path Head Mill
Bring a picnic. 10am-5pm Free.
The 18th century Water Mill has been restored and renovated by the Vale Mill Trust. It is located in a tranquil dell, adjacent to meadows and woodland walkways, with picnic and barbecue facilities, tea rooms and safe garden area.
