Views of Ouseburn
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
This project aims to maximise the number of people who access and appreciate the historical aspects of the Ouseburn Valley.
This will be achieved by increasing the number of trained guides who conduct tours of the area, who will use the created guide walks with appropriate interpretive material.
The group will also be conducting an oral history project with residents and delivering a series of lectures and talks to community groups and schools, in and around the valley.
A permanent record of photographic and audio reminiscences will be compiled and will be available at the local resource centre and also via a web site will be established as part of the project.
