Bamburgh Heritage Trail
Location: Northumberland

Creating a self-guided trail around the village of Bamburgh, allowing both residents and visitors to learn about the history of the village and the surrounding area.

The project will focus on three main areas: The history of Bamburgh and its castle; other features of historical interest in the village; The Farne Islands and the "Stag" rocks.

A basic heritage leaflet will be produced, with a series of interpretation boards and a full-colour guidebook. A clue trail for younger children will follow the heritage trail and a walking festival will celebrate the launch of the guidebook and panels.
