Grace Darling, A Colouring Book To Keep [1194 kb] pdf

The Grace Darling Memorial
Location: Northumberland

The grant will be used to restore the Grace Darling Memorial and raise awareness of the heroine who rescued passengers and crew from the wrecked SS Forfarshire off the Farne Islands in 1838.

The story will be told through:

  • interpretation panels at the monument;
  • talks for schoolchildren;
  • a boat trip with commentary;
  • free children's booklets;
  • leaflets;
  • an art exhibition;
  • event days.
