Portrack Seal Watching Walk
Venue: Meet outside the Talpore to begin the walk

Saturday 8th April 2:30pm (2 hours)
Join Jonathan for a gentle stroll along the River Tees stopping off at Newport Paths to see the seals that feed around the Tees Barrage. Part of the Mammal Action Tees Valley Project. Meet outside the Talpore to begin the walk.

Bowesfield Mammal Wander
Venue: Bowesfield Crescent

Friday 21st April 10:00am (2 hours)
Come along and have a look around the new Bowesfield Nature Reserve, see how it is developing, and its future plans. A good opportunity to see some of the mammals that inhabit the site. Part of the Mammal Action Tees Valley Project. Meet on Bowesfield Crescent to begin the walk.

Water Voles at Cowpen Bewley
Venue: Cowpen Bewley Activity Centre

Sunday 23rd April 10:30am (2 hours)
Come along to the Cowpen Bewley Activity Centre to learn more about the Water Vole, and how to spot these amazing creatures. The session will include a talk before a walk around the site’s ponds to spot these creatures (going for a record 5th consecutive year of sightings as part of this course!!). Part of the Mammal Action Tees Valley Project

Venue: Billingham Beck

Join Jonathan and the Countryside Wardens at Billingham Beck Ecology Park to find out more about the elusive Mole, bane of many gardeners and golf courses. Find out about a moles way of life before a gentle stroll around the Ecology Park looking for evidence of the moles activities. Part of the Mammal Action Tees Valley Project. Meet at the Ecology Park Visitors Centre

Join the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust and Guisborough Forest Walkway for a different start to your day. Help lift mammal traps. Finish the session with a breakfast b-b-q with the staff of the Branch Walkway.

Mind your voles and shrews!
Venue: Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park

Sunday 7th May 10:30am (3 hours)
Come along to Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park to learn more about the small creatures that live in our grasslands. Try your hand with Longworth live traps and hopefully come face to face with these fascinating creatures. Following the workshop join the reserve volunteers for a practical task.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Venue: Billingham Beck Visitors Centre

Join staff from the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust and Stockton Countryside Rangers Service for a walk between Billingham Beck Valley Country Park and Portrack Marsh Nature Reserve, looking at the wildlife on the way. The circular walk will start from Billingham Beck Visitors Centre. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
