A Precious Resouce

Arts Advance is building a precious archive of reminiscences. Project members are now starting to catalogue and organise the material ready for presentation.
 All of the interviews carried out as part of the reminiscence show have been videotaped and audiotaped. The material is now being edited and extra footage shot to produce a video which will tell the story of the Words From The Wise project.
The audiotapes are being carefully edited and will form the basis of a talking book which will contain extracts from the interviews, mixed with other stories narrated by actors. Local actor Harry Herring will narrate the tape and will be cheerfully leading listeners down memory lane.
 Meanwhile, the Arts Advance writers group has been busy organising all of the written material gathered through the reminiscence booklets. These stories are set to be edited into an illustrated A4 booklet.
The end of the project will be marked by a final festival day. Once again actors from the Pluto Theatre Company will be presenting a spectacular show devised from the stories collected during the project.
Finally, important material will be gathered and sealed into a specially commissioned Time Capsule for one hundred years. This way a new generation of residents will be able to experience the Words From The Wise again, in 2104.
