Arlecdon's Acre
Location: Cumbria
The Group and volunteers aim to complete a recording of the memorial inscriptions in Arlecdon Churchyard, and then produce a database with the information collected. A launch event and exhibition will be held to stimulate interest. The group will research the lives of past and present inhabitants of the village and produce a book. Local school children and the Youth Club will assist with the interviewing of the senior citizen’s group in an oral history exercise. A DVD will also be produced showing locations, interviews being undertaken as well as a pictorial record. Workshops will be held with professional tuition in IT and historical research techniques. The project will be included on the Frizington community website to facilitate the gathering and disseminating of information.
