'Grange Then', A Photographic Exhibition
Location: Cumbria

The project is curating a photographic exhibition of local images taken by a professional photographer from the 1890s to the 1940s. Additional images are from local people. All of these images are being restored and archived to CD-ROM.

Each image is being accompanied by an interpretive explanation. Collectively the images will depict the special character of the peninsula in the period that included Grange's development as a resort.

The project is increasing local awareness of the area's distinctive heritage. It is also encouraging local people to make privately owned images of the area publicly available for the first time.
