Hound Trailing Promotion - Phase 2 (Phase 2)
Location: Cumbria

Phase Two of this project will build on the work of Phase One. Hound Trailing Heritage It will produce a professional mobile exhibition of Hound Trailing, an updated web site and an updated and expanded rule book. These will be taken to County Fairs, Schools, Voluntary Groups, Tourist Information Centres etc.

The exhibition will raise public awareness of the history, culture and heritage of this unique Cumbrian sport. The group feel there is a real need to educate and inform local people, of all ages, and tourists about hound trailing and this visual display will effect this process.

The project will also update and improve the web site, and the Hound Trailing Association rule book which describes the sport and stipulates how hound trailing should be run. The rule book will be widely distributed and will include photographs and text to assist in the understanding and appreciation of this Cumbrian tradition.

All local schools will be involved in sessions to build on the work undertaken with them in Phase One.
