Orton Heritage Book
Location: Cumbria
The project aims to research and investigate the heritage of the village and it's occupants and to produce a booklet which will describe and compare the village in 1900 and in 2000.
This will include occupants description, short history of the more noteworthy or interesting buildings, maps and photographs of 'then and now', family trees of some of the families whose roots in the village extend back more than 100 years.
In addition, the documents, photographs and archive material will form the basis of an exhibition in the village hall when completed.
