The Trust is surveying the historic settlement in the township (first recorded at Domesday) to identify and explain the nature and development of the local landscape.

The study is looking at what form the earliest settlement took, its location and how the landscape has changed.

The project is surveying remaining vernacular buildings, undertaking an archaeological survey and is researching the Park boundary.

A book, a website and information boards are also being produced by the Trust.
