Wave the Flags for Wildlife in Clinkham Wood
Location: Liverpool

The aim of the project is to arrange a series of community events, including surveys to investigate the wildlife in Clinkham Wood, and a video microscope workshop for mini beasts, and then use the information to produce a printed project portfolio containing sketches, photographs, design ideas and survey reports.

An A3 leaflet will be produced for local people to raise awareness of the woodland and its wildlife. A set of banners or flags depicting the woodland’s wildlife will also be made. These will be displayed in community centres and other local public buildings and at the group’s events.

The project will appeal to a wide range of ages with training and activities planned to include guided walks leadership skills, surveys of birds, plants, invertebrates; wildlife photography, bird hide construction, bird feeding station construction, sketching, writing and needlework.
