Location: Oldham

Mike Warrington, Group Coordinator.
Name: Mike Warrington
Title: Group Co-ordinator
Role: Retired teacher, now with time and plenty of energy, coordinated the group and organised the bid with Local Heritage Initiative.

Name: Freda Millett
Title: Author
Role: Honorary Dobcrossian and Author of many anecdotal histories. She wrote our Impressions of Dobcross, with others assisting with interviews of older residents and with putting it all on the computer.



Name: Helen Sweet
Title: Artist and Country Park Ranger
Role: Helen did the initial design of the Plaque, used her contacts to get it professionally designed and computerised, and was able to borrow some display boards for our exhibition.



Name: Chris Keightly
Title: Survey Designer
Role: Chris designed a data collection form, which was reviewed and agreed by the committee. These forms were distributed to all the village, and collected within a certain time frame. The data was entered into a database designed by Chris, ready for extraction and publication.



Name: Bob Townend
Title: Survey Analyser, general helper.
Role: Extracted data from the database built by Chris, and presented this in booklet form.
This booklet informs Dobcross residents about various aspects of 'The people of Dobcross in the New millennium'.
(Bob also entered the data into the LHI Website database)



Name: Eric Hibbert
Title: Computer Interface Manager
Role: Eric entered all the data into the computer for the book 'Impressions of Dobcross'.
Lots of liaisons with coordinator Mike, and author Freda, greatly facilitated the production of this work.



Name: Mike Buckley
Title: Historian
Role: Mike is a leading member of the local Historical Society.
His knowledge and experience of local history was invaluable in creating this project. His contacts produced some very interesting materiel.



Name: Bill Edwards
Title: Photographer & Environmentalist advisor
Role: Bill was often our conscience and lateral thinker during our interesting meetings. He was often available to help and advise on many of the tasks we completed.
He also took many photographs of our projects.
