ROMADAM Project Update - July 2006

August 2006

August 2006
Location: Buckinghamshire

Our ROMADAM/Local Heritage Initiative (LHI) Project continues to move forward, with another ‘training event’ at Medmenham Iron Age Hillfort.

We hope to spend about 90 minutes, or so, establishing where all the significant features are on the site, locating them on maps, drawing and photographing them and locating the nearest Bench Mark.

This event will start at 10.30am on Sunday the 13th of August. Those wishing to participate are asked to proceed to the north-west entrance. If travelling by car, please turn north into Bockmer Lane, at the Medmenham crossroads, and after a few hundred metres, turn right at the white gate on your right, just before School Lane. Then follow the signs. Please let me, or David Greenwood*, know if you wish to come, as we need to have a good idea of numbers.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the undulating terrain in this mostly wooded site.

Again, if you come across any information that relates to the four ROMADAM sites (Medmenham & Danesfield Hillforts, Pullingshill Wood and Warren Wood), please contact either:
