Archaeology in Marlow
Location: Buckinghamshire

The projects aim is to survey and record 4 sites surrounding Marlow, Medmenham and Danesfield Iron Age Forts, circular bank and ditch at Bloom Wood and 1st World War training ditches at Pullingshill. The local school, groups and societies will be actively involved with the group though field walks, setting up magnetometry grids, to survey the sites.

The data found through these surveys will be used to produce 4 scale site models and will be produced by school children under the supervision of a model maker. The models will be taken too less mobile members of the community in outreach sessions, supported by displays and exhibitions. The County Archaeologist will monitor all archaeological practices and the surveying will be monitored by a professional geophysicist. all surveys and records of the site will be sent to the centre of Buckinghamshire Studies.

Interpretation for the sites will be provided by panels, leaflets and booklets that will be made freely available to the wider community through the tourist information centre, libraries and given to local schools.
