
The Ewelme Local Nature Reserve is owned by the Chiltern Society. It is based on the once-derelict Watercress Beds which have been restored by local and other volunteers for their heritage, wildlife and landscape value. They contain a great variety of flower and fauna, including the rare Water Vole.
Activities include conservation, Open Days and Guided Walks.. Conservation, chalk stream.
A new Visitor Centre provides information, loos and refreshments.

Events
Voluntary work on the first Saturday and third Wednesday in the month. Bring wellies. Stream clearance, wildflower meadows management, bank construction, willow spiling, flower surveys.
Guided Walk. Sunday 5 March at 2 pm. Open Days - first Sunday each month April to October 2 - 5 pm Charge £2 per adult. Accompanied children free. Booking not necessary. Toilets and Refreshments available. Limited street parking - Car Park is beyond the School and Church Bookings for groups may be made on other dates. Food and Drink
After a hard Wednesday morning's labour, we often relax in the local pub (The Shepherd's Hut).
During Open Days delicious teas are served.
After Guided Walks light refreshments are available.
