Lauren Besant held two IT workshops at the end of June and the beginning of July at Beaconsfield library which afforded an opportunity for people to learn the working of Microsoft Publisher.
The first workshop consisted of a mixed ability group of people who were very interested in creating items such as business cards, posters etc. None had used Publisher before and some had very little experience of anything other than Word.
In contrast, the second group were more experienced and each had a turn at producing the programme for the Waller function to be held in St. Mary and All Saints Church on the evening of Saturday 9 September.
It was interesting that, by coincidence, all attendees except for one were members of St. Mary’s church, and even the Rector, the Reverend John Wynburne, came along to try out Publisher. Installed Publisher so was eager to try it out.
All left having a better insight into the working of Microsoft Publisher.
