Artefacts recovered from the dive onto Victory's anchorage site near Gosport
Location: City of Southampton

It is exciting to think it is possible that some of these earlier artifacts were thrown overboard by the sailors onboard HMS Victory.

Eleven items of food containers were found on the dive site, six of which were marmalade pots this could indicate that marmalade was a popular item on the victualling list for the victorian sailor.

Some were produced by James Keiller and Frank Cooper both still producers of marmalade today.
