Piddinghoe Broadwater Project
Location: East Sussex

Broadwater is an area of wetland used in the early part of the 20th century for watering livestock. It later became a pond that was eventually filled in. The area is now neglected, overgrown and in need of restoration to relieve the choked water and allow wildlife to flourish.

The overall aim of the project is to restore the former pond, improve the drainage and improve the wildlife habitat. This work, together with information on the history of the pond, will help to raise awareness of its history amongst local people and provide an amenity area for the community.
