Secrets of the Solent has been written by the hwtma for schools, parents and home educators to help provide a resource for studying history, geography and science. The information provided within this pack works on different levels of ability so many of the worksheets can be used for varying activities and educational levels. It is not necessary to visit the hwtma's Underwater Archaeology Centre before working on any of the worksheets.
Full fact sheets and glossaries of maritime words are included at the end of each section as well as crosswords and word searches to help make learning more fun! All of the words in bold type can be found in the glossaries. The worksheets and fact sheets within this publication have been designed to be photocopied for educational purposes only. The booklet is divided into four sections:
